Dosage
5 capsules daily with food, for a minimum of 4 weeks to see the beneficial effects or as directed by a health care practitioner. Avoid taking at bedtime. Keep out of the reach of children.
Contraindications
- There have been no reports of any adverse drug interactions with glucosamine sulfate.
- The only caveat is that individuals taking diuretics may need to take higher dosages (e.g. 20 mg per kilogram [2.2 pounds] body weight daily).
- No known drug interactions with chondroitin sulfate.
Additional Information
Children: Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfates are suitable for children at one-half the adult dosage, however the effects of MSM have not been sufficiently evaluated in children. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use.
Pregnancy and Nursing: Glucosamine sulfate is considered safe during pregnancy and lactation.
