At one point in time, we all fantasized about having the perfect skin, hair, and nails, but the products and supplements needed for those were out of your budget and were a risky purchase. What if I told you that you have all the ingredients needed at home for the same effect! Here are three fun and easy beauty DIYs that you can do in the comfort of your own home!

Face Scrubs for every skin type:

This recipe is a mix-and-match formula for face scrubs so, no matter what your skin needs this recipe will accommodate!


  • White or brown sugar for the exfoliant
  • Any oil fit for your skin type (ex olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil etc,)
  • Any Fruit or vegetable good for the skin (the main 5: tomato, cucumber, strawberry, pineapple, and kiwi)


  1. Choose the airtight containers to contain your scrub in
  2. Measure out your oil. You’ll want a 2-to-1 ratio. So, twice as much salt or sugar as oil
  3. Combine oil and salt or sugar in a bowl, and stir until just combined
  4. Add in the fruit or vegetable chopped as finely as you can get it, and muddle the mixture together until just combined. You don’t want to mix it too much or the granules will start to dissolve
  5. Decant into your storage container and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.


The main five vegetables recommended all have their individual amazing benefits and products. Tomato contains lycopene which can help protect skin from UV rays. Tomatoes also help with the skin's elasticity. Kiwis can help brighten your complexion, and the seeds in the fruit pulp can act as mini exfoliants on their own. Strawberries are best for evening and brightening your skin tone, and they are packed with vitamin C. Pineapple is best for acne prone skin; it has an enzyme that helps dissolve dead skin cells. And finally cucumber can help reduce puffiness by reducing water retention.

3 Step Oatmeal Facemask:

Oatmeal has soothing ingredients that will relieve irritated and itchy skin on your face, and leave you with smooth skin. To reap the benefits of oatmeal, do an oatmeal facial mask three times a week.


  • 4 tbsp. of rolled oats 
  • 1 tbsp. of honey
  • 1 egg
  • Optional: splash of lemon juice for oily skin


  1. Grind the rolled oats to enhance the texture of the resulting mask. Grind until the oats form a coarse powder then pour the ground oats into the small bowl.
  2. Mix in the honey with the ground oats
  3. Crack the egg without breaking the yolk and separate the egg white to the yolk
  4. Combine the egg yolk with the honey and oat mixture
  5. Apply the mixture to your face and allow it to set for 15 minutes, then rinse it off thoroughly with warm water. Pat your face dry with a towel.


Many people use oats as a home remedy for soothing dry, itchy, or irritated skin. Ground oatmeal can also work as an exfoliant, sloughing away dirt, oil, and dead skin cells. People may also use oatmeal for cleansing, moisturizing, and reducing inflammation. The honey part of the DIY acts as a humectant to help moisturize your skin; it also has antibacterial properties to help treat acne. The Egg yolks in this face mask recipe are rich in vitamin D, which is an antioxidant that delays the aging process. Overall this recipe is great for the skin and will keep you refreshed!

Coconut Oil and Honey Hair Mask:

This coconut oil and honey hair mask is perfect for repairing and moisturizing damaged hair, and you can whip it up with just a few steps right in your kitchen!


  • 1 tbsp. Organic Coconut Oil
  • 1 tbsp. Organic Raw Honey
  • Saucepan
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Towel
  • Shower Cap (optional)


  1. Mix all ingredients together and slightly heat up in sauce pan 
  2. Apply this hair mask onto wet or dry hair (better on wet) and apply generously from top to bottom, focusing on the ends where most damage occurs
  3. Wrap your hair in a bun and let the mask soak in for 30-40 minutes.
  4. Wash the mask out in the shower with warm water using your regular shampoo and conditioner routine, and violà! 


Using coconut oil on one's hair helps moisturize and seal hair. This can help prevent a dry, flaky scalp and dandruff, as well as split ends and hair breakage. Perfect for renewing damaged hair! Not only is coconut oil benefiting one's hair but also moisturizing the scalp. Honey has both emollient and humectant properties, making it a great hair moisturizer. Emollients smooth the hair follicles, adding shine to dull hair. Humectants bond with water molecules, adding moisture to dry strands. By moisturizing and locking in shine, honey can help restore the natural luster of your hair.
