Bill Natural Sources® Seal Oil Complex provides an excellent source of essential omega-3 fatty acids including Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA ≥ 30 mg), Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA ≥ 40 mg) and Docosapentaenoic Acid (DPA ≥ 15 mg). Our bodies are not able to produce omega-3 fatty acids therefore it is important to obtain them through supplementation to our diet.
Seal oil may be preferred over fish oil because it contains much higher levels of DPA whereas, fish oil has low levels (if any) of DPA. DPA helps to improve several aspects of human health. Ginkgo biloba leaves have been commonly used in Chinese medicine. This product contains the extract from ginkgo biloba leaves containing 24% flavoglycoside. Flavoglycosides, also known as flavone glycosides, are primarily responsible for the antioxidant activity of ginkgo biloba. Garlic contains an organic compound called allicin that gives garlic its aroma and flavour and is a powerful antioxidant due to allicin trapping damaging radicals. Vitamin E is also an antioxidant that helps protects cells against free radicals for the maintenance of good health. CoQ10 may help to decrease oxidative stress and increase antioxidant enzyme activity. A combination of all these ingredients makes Bill Natural Sources® Seal Oil Complex a convenient source of antioxidants and Omega-3 fatty acids.
